BREWERY BEAVER RESTORED • The late Richard Ransome bought this 1934 Leyland Beaver TSC9 for preservation back in 1971, and for many years it was rallied as a cut-down recovery vehicle. Now though it has been put back to its original condition as a tribute to Richard. David Reed was there when it was returned to the family following an absolutely stunning restoration.

WHERRY FIRST ERF B-SERIES 8W. • This nicely liveried ERF ‘31G 4RD’ B-series rigid eight-wheeled bulk tipper of Wherry & Sons Ltd, from Bourne in Lincolnshire, was my very first sighting of the new model. I was lucky enough to see it waiting to unload at a mill in Manchester on November 14 1975. It was virtually brand new and had a Gardner 6LXB.
